📖 Hollander Family Newsletter – October 2025

Greetings Beloved,

We greet you in the wonderful Name of our Great God and Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that you are doing good and that it is well with your soul.

Scriptures for the Month

  • “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23, Isaiah 7:14
  • “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’' Isaiah 41:10
  • 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.' John 1:1,14
  • 'And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. ' Revelation 21:3

Fellowship Highlight

This past month, we had our seminar for the Afrikaans-speaking families. It was a precious opportunity to strengthen relationships, share testimonies, and give thanks to the Lord for His mercies, deliverance and lovingkindness.

🙏 Men’s & Women’s Ministries

  • Men’s Prayer – We are grateful for the group of men in Dewetsdorp who gather weekly in prayer. Lives have been touched, prayers answered, and we continue trusting the Lord to raise up more men of valour, bold in standing for the Truth.
  • Women’s Fellowship – Led by my wife, these weekly gatherings bring women together in prayer and practical ministry. They crochet and knit items that are shared during outreaches. These times of fellowship have been deeply edifying, and the Lord continues to open doors to minister at the local orphanages, old-age homes, and police stations.

Through these ministries, elderly people receive love and encouragement, rape victims receive care packages, and blankets have been distributed to those in need.

📖 James 1:27 – “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”

🍞 Ministering to the Poor

📖 Galatians 2:10 – “They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.”

Since May 2024, we have been ministering to poor families in Dewetsdorp with food parcels, clothing, household supplies, and toiletries. These visits not only meet physical needs but also open doors for counseling and prayer.

Through our “5 Loaves and 2 Fish Project”, we distribute monthly food parcels while sharing the gospel. We also partner with a sister in our church who provides meals for those living on the streets. These times of fellowship bring opportunities to pray, encourage, and share the love of Christ.

📚 School & Youth Ministry

  • Weekly praise, worship, and Bible study at the local school continue to bear fruit. New believers are given Bibles, and we pray for a deep hunger for the Word of God.
  • Hostel ministry has been especially impactful, with many students experiencing healing and deliverance in Jesus’ Name.
  • Recently, the Lord answered our prayers for Bibles—HalleluYah! 🙌 Thank you for praying with us.
We also celebrated 8 birthdays this month 🎉—each life prayed over and entrusted to God’s purpose.

Looking ahead, we are planning a one-day camp for the Sotho children that we will be hosting on one of the local farms next year during the 1st term.

❤️ Family Updates

We humbly ask for prayer for my father-in-law, Tony Linden, who had an urgent eye operation to prevent blindness. His surgery was on the 21st October, and we praise our Saviour that the operation was successful in Jesus Name. Please continue to pray, he is scheduled to see the doctor at oncology on the 6th of November to do the tests to see how to go about to remove parts of the cancer in his colon. That will be a very big operation, more than 8 hours.

🙌 Prayer Requests

Please continue to lift these needs before the Lord:

  • Healing for my wife, who still suffers from symptoms like abdominal pains, nausea etc.
  • Provision of a 7-seater 4x4 SUV or double-cab bakkie, as our family of six has outgrown our small car.
  • Provision and guidance for upcoming mission trips to Lesotho and Namibia.
  • A house in Dewetsdorp to use as a base for ministry.
  • Anointing, blessings and fruitfulness for all upcoming counseling sessions, Bible studies, services, and online teachings.

🙏 Thank You

We are deeply grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and support—whether through words, finances, or partnership. You make it possible for us to continue this Kingdom work and meet daily needs.

📖 Philippians 4:7 – “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

  • 1 John 4:7 (KJV) – “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.”

We praise the Lord in every circumstance and give thanks for His mercies and lovingkindness.

Men’s & Women’s Ministries

We are thankful for a small group of men here in Dewetsdorp who gather weekly in prayer. It has been powerful to see lives touched and prayers answered. We continue to trust the Lord to raise up more men of valor, bold in standing for the Truth.

My wife leads weekly gatherings for the women, where they pray together and crochet or knit items that are shared during outreaches. These times of fellowship have been deeply edifying. We are trusting the Lord for the provision of wool, facecloths, and soap, which are given as gifts to bless others. Opportunities have also opened to minister at the local orphanage, old-age home, and police station. Many elderly people receive little or no visits from family, so it is a joy to share God’s love with them. At the police station, we have been able to comfort victims of rape with small care packages, and we also handed out blankets to the elderly. See video below:

Current Project: crocheting 12 blankets for 12 babies in an orphanage in Bloemfontein has been completed. See pictures as well as video below (for the protection of the babies' identities, we have covered their faces)

James 1:27 – “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”

We also partner with a sister in our local church who provides meals for people living on the streets of Dewetsdorp. These times of fellowship allow us to share the Word and pray with those in need.

School & Youth Ministry

We continue serving at the local school with Sunday praise, worship, and Bible study. New converts are given Bibles, and we pray for a hunger and thirst for God’s Word. It has been a blessing to minister to learners at the hostel as well, many of whom have experienced healing and deliverance in Jesus’ Name.

We prayed for Bibles—and the Lord provided! HalleluYah! 🙌 Here are some pictures of the new Bibles that were handed out. Please keep praying for the four schools in our area.

This month, we celebrated 13 birthdays 🎉, praying over each life and trusting God to guide them into His purpose. See pictures below:

Family Updates

We are also grateful that my mom is happy and settled at the old-age home nearby.

Prayer Requests

We ask for your continued prayers:

  • For my wife’s health. She still experiences abdominal pain of unknown cause.
  • For the provision of a reliable 7-seater 4x4 SUV or double-cab bakkie, as our family of six no longer fits into a small 5-seater car.
  • For the upcoming family conference in October
  • For our upcoming outreaches, we are planning mission trips to Lesotho as well as to Namibia. We trust the LORD for provision.
  • For the Lord to provide a house in Dewetsdorp from which we can minister.
  • For all upcoming counselling sessions, Bible studies, church services, and online teachings.

Thank You

We are so grateful for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support—whether through words or finances—which make it possible to continue this Kingdom work and meet daily needs.

Newsletter - Seeking Him with all your heart - July 2025

Greetings beloved

We greet you all in the wonderful Name of our Great God and Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ. We hope you are doing good and that it is well with your soul. 📖

Here are the scriptures for the month:

'And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. '

Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV

'And I set my heart to seek and search out by Wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised. '

Ecclesiastes 1:13

'Hear, my children, the instruction of the Father, And give attention to know understanding; For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake My Law. Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the Words of My mouth. Do not forsake Her, and She will preserve you; Love Her, and She will keep you. Wisdom is the Principal Thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt Her, and She will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace Her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory She will deliver to you.”'

Proverbs 4:1-2,5-9

We praise the LORD in every circumstance and give thanks to Him for His mercies and lovingkindness. We have a small group of men here in Dewetsdorp praying every week. It is awesome to see the men touched by the LORD and prayers answered powerfully. We have been praying for our Father to raise us more men of valour who will be bold in standing up for the Truth.💪🏽

My wife gets women to pray together weekly. They crochet and knit different things that people can use or wear. We give it away on the outreaches. The women who attended were deeply touched and found it edifying. We trust the LORD for the facecloths, wool, and bars of soap to be provided. There are opportunities to minister at the local orphanage, old-age home and police station. Many elderly people never get a visit from their families. We also have a contact at the local police station, so we can reach out to rape victims by giving them a facecloth and a bar of soap as a comfort gift. We also handed out blankets that were completed for the elderly:

The current project is to crochet 12 blankets for 12 babies in an orphanage in Bloemfontein. They have completed 7 out of the 12 blankets so far.

James 1:27 "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world". (NKJV)

“They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.”    Galatians 2:10

Ministering to the poor:

We have also been ministering to some poor families here in Dewetsdorp since May 2024, helping with food, clothing, household cleaning products, and toiletries as the LORD provides. This opens a door for us to do counselling and pray with them. Thank you to all who gave to make this ministry possible in Jesus Name. There were also opportunities at our church where we would hand out monthly food parcels, and we could then share the gospel with these families. We call this the “5 Loaves and 2 Fish Project,” and we trust our Father for multiplication.

Taking hands with one of our sisters in the local church who minister every week to the poor people in the streets of Dewetsdorp and giving them a meal. I can then share the Gospel and pray for those who need prayer.

We continued with the ministry at the school; we have Praise and worship and Bible study on Sunday mornings. The new converts each receive a new Bible. We handed out new Bibles and prayed over each of them for a hunger and a thirst for the Word of God. I also had the privilege to work among the learners at the hostel, where I could minister to some of these boys and girls who needed deliverance and healing in Jesus Name. We also needed new Bibles, and the LORD provided,  HalleluYah!!! See picture below of one of the Bible study classes that we had:

Please continue to pray with us for His future provision and also for the 4 schools in our area.

We celebrated 13 birthdays this month, and we could pray for them and bless them while trusting our Father to bring them to a place where they can walk in the fullness of His purpose for their lives in His holy Name.

Please continue to pray for us:

For my wife’s health. We still trust the LORD for her complete healing. She still has the pain in her abdomen; the doctors were not able to determine the cause.

We praise the LORD for His faithfulness. We trust the LORD for a reliable 7-seater 4X4 SUV for the family since the kids are growing and the 6 of us no longer fit in a 5-seater.

We were invited to minister in Lesotho, and we are planning an outreach to Namibia. Praise the LORD. We have received the new passports that had expired!! Watch the space 😊

We are trusting the LORD for a house to minister from in Dewetsdorp. He is able!!

All the counselling sessions that are scheduled for the coming month.

All the Bible study, ministering and Church services scheduled for the coming month.

All the teachings that will be going out on online social media platforms.

Thank you for all your continued prayers and support with a word of encouragement or financially so that we can continue the work of the Kingdom and for the provision of everything in our daily lives.
