Newsletter - Meditate on His Work - December 2025
📖
Hollander Family Newsletter – December 2025
Greetings Beloved,
We greet you in the wonderful Name of our Great God and Savior, our Lord
Jesus Christ. We pray that you are doing good and that it is well with your
soul. Praise the LORD for all the lovely rain we got.
✨
Scriptures for the Month
- Likewise,
exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to
be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence,
incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is
an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you. Titus 2:6-8 NKJV
- Finally,
brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever
things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely,
whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is
anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8
NKJV
- I
will also meditate on all Your work, and talk of Your deeds. Psalms 77:12 NKJV
Highlights for December
Our first highlight
for this month was definitely the yearly visit from my brother Hein, his wife
Bonita and their two sons. It is always pleasant to see them and fellowship
with them. We ended also the men’s prayer group off for the year on Monday 15th
of December. What a powerful meeting, each one of us had an encounter with the
most High.
🙏 Men’s & Women’s
Ministries
- Men’s Prayer – We are grateful for the
group of men in Dewetsdorp who gather weekly in prayer. Lives have been
touched, prayers answered, and we continue trusting the Lord to raise up
more men of valour, bold in standing for the Truth. We will start the gatherings
again on the 26th of January 2026.
- Women’s Fellowship – Led by my wife,
these weekly gatherings bring women together in prayer and practical
ministry. They crochet and knit items that are shared during outreaches.
These times of fellowship have been deeply edifying, and the Lord continues
to open doors to minister at the local orphanages, old-age
homes, homes for disabled people and police stations.
Through
these ministries, elderly people receive love and encouragement, rape victims
receive care packages, and blankets have been distributed to those in need. The
current project that they are working on now is to make blankets for the winter
for 38 disabled people in Bloemfontein.
📖 James 1:27 –
“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit
orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the
world.”
🍞 Ministering to the Poor
📖 Galatians 2:10 –
“They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I
also was eager to do.”
Since May
2024, we have been ministering to poor families in Dewetsdorp with food
parcels, clothing, household supplies, and toiletries. These visits not only
meet physical needs but also open doors for counseling and prayer.
Through
our “5 Loaves and 2 Fish Project”, we distribute monthly food parcels
while sharing the gospel. We also partner with a sister in our church who
provides meals for those living on the streets. These times of fellowship bring
opportunities to pray, encourage, and share the love of Christ.
📚 School
& Youth Ministry
- We had
weekly praise & worship, and Bible study at the local school
that continue to bear fruit. New believers are given Bibles, and we pray
for a deep hunger for the Word of God.
- Hostel
ministry has been especially impactful, with many students
experiencing healing and deliverance in Jesus’ Name.
- We
are trusting the LORD for more Bibles—HalleluYah! 🙌 Thank
you for praying with us.
We also celebrate each child’s birthday 🎉 and pray over each life to
be entrusted to God’s purpose.
Looking ahead, we are planning a one-day camp for the Sotho children
that we will be hosting on one of the local farms next year during the 1st
term. The schools have closed for the year and we are taking a break from the
ministry for now to focus on family matters and waiting on the LORD.
❤️ Family
Updates
We humbly ask for prayer for my father-in-law, Tony Linden, who had
several tests done, which determined that he has stage 4 colon cancer. Please
continue to pray, he has been admitted at the state hospital in Kimberley where
he is waiting to receive the big operation to remove the tumours. Once the big
tumours on the left and right of the colon are removed, then they will start
the chemotherapy.
🙌 Prayer Requests
Please
continue to lift these needs before the Lord:
- Healing for my wife, who still suffers from symptoms
like abdominal pains, nausea etc.
- Provision of a 7-seater 4x4 SUV or
double-cab bakkie, as our family of six has outgrown our small car.
- Provision and guidance for upcoming
mission trips to Lesotho and Namibia.
- A house in Dewetsdorp to use as a base for
ministry.
- Anointing, blessings and fruitfulness for all
upcoming counseling sessions, Bible studies, services, and online
teachings.
🙏 Thank You
We are deeply grateful for
your prayers, encouragement, and support—whether through words, finances,
or partnership. You make it possible for us to continue this Kingdom work and
meet daily needs.
📖 Philippians 4:7 –
“And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts
and minds through Christ Jesus.”
