Newsletter - Our Bodies His Temple Yes His Home - November 2024
Greetings beloved
We greet you all in the wonderful Name of our
Great God and Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ. We hope you are doing good and that
your soul is well. 📖
Here are the scriptures for
the month:
'Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you
so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen
Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? '
John 14:9
'“If you love Me, keep My commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide
with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot
receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He
dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will
come to you.'
John 14:15-18
'Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone
loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will
come to him and make Our home with him. '
John 14:23
'But He was speaking of the temple of His
body. '
John 2:21
'Or do you not know that your body is the
temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you
are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your
body and in your spirit, which are God’s.'
I Corinthians 6:19-20
We praise the LORD in every
circumstance and give thanks to Him for
His mercies and lovingkindness. We have a small group of men here in Dewetsdorp
praying on a weekly basis. It is awesome to see the men touched by the LORD and
prayers answered powerfully.
My wife gets women to pray together weekly. They
crochet and knit different things that people can use or wear. We give it away
on the outreaches. The women who attended were deeply touched and found it
edifying. We trust the LORD to provide facecloths, wool and bars of soap for
the people. There are opportunities to minister at the old-aged home and the
local police station. Many elderly people never get a visit from their
families. We got a contact at the local police station so that we can reach out
to rape victims by giving them a facecloth and a bar of soap as a comfort gift.
See the picture below:
“They desired only that we
should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.”
Galatians 2:10
Ministering to the poor:
We have also been ministering to some poor families here in Dewetsdorp since May 2024, helping with food, clothing, household cleaning products, and toiletries as the LORD provides. This opens a door for us to do counselling and pray with them. Thank you to all who gave to make this ministry possible in Jesus Name. There were also opportunities at our church where we would hand out monthly food parcels and we could then share the gospel to these families.
Taking hands with one of our sisters in the local
church to minister every month to the poor people in the streets of Dewetsdorp.
Giving them bread and one meal parcel that includes a bar of soap. I can then
share the Gospel and pray for those that need prayer.
We continued with the ministry at the school; we
have Bible study on Thursdays and an English church service on Sunday mornings.
The new converts each receive a new Bible. We handed out new Bibles and prayed
over each of them for a hunger and a thirst for the Word of God. I also had the
privilege to work among the learners at the hostel where I could minister to
some of these boys and girls who needed deliverance and healing in Jesus Name.
Water baptisms: HaleluYah!!! Please see the pictures
below of one of them:
We had the privilege to be witnesses to our
close friend’s oldest daughter who got baptized here on the farm. They were our
first friends in the Bloemfontein area when we arrived in 2015. We thank our
Father for such special moments in our lives.
Please continue to pray with us for His
future provision and the 4 schools in our area.
We celebrated 11 birthdays this month, and we
could pray for them and bless them while trusting our Father to bring them to a
place where they can walk in the fullness of His purpose for their lives in His
holy Name. See the picture below of some of them:
Thank you to all of you who gave so that the
Good Word, Who is the Good SEED, can go out and accomplish His will in the
lives of these precious sons and daughters.
Please continue to pray for
us:
❖ For my wife’s health. We trust the LORD for her complete healing.
Her next appointment at the state hospital is scheduled for 10th April
2025. The Dr referred her to the skin doctor at the state hospital.
❖ We praise the LORD for His faithfulness, our car has been repaired
after the breakdown of last month. We also need to replace the compressor pump for
the air conditioning. Hopefully, we can do that as soon as we have the
necessary funds.
❖ We were invited to minister in Lesotho. Please pray for us to be able
to renew 4 passports in our family so we can go!!
❖ My wife also needs to renew her driver’s license this month. I need to
renew mine in January 2025!
❖ For my mother. Please pray for her complete healing, her eyes have
cataracts, and she needs the operation. She saw the eye specialist on the
30th of May, and she went for another scan on the 18th of
November. The Dr said he can do her right eye only. She has been booked for the
operation on the 4th of December 2024.
❖ All the counselling sessions that are scheduled for the coming
months.
❖ All the Bible study-, ministering and Church services scheduled
for the coming months.
❖ All the teachings going out on online social media platforms.
Thank you for all your continued prayers and
support with a word of encouragement or financially so that we can continue the
work of the Kingdom and for the provision of everything in our daily
lives.
