Newsletter - Setting the captives free - Apr 2025

Greetings beloved

We greet you all in the wonderful Name of our Great God and Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ. We hope you are doing good and that it is well with your soul. 📖

Here are the scriptures for the month:

'You recently repented and did what was right in My eyes by proclaiming liberty, each to his neighbor, and you made a covenant before Me in the house that is called by My Name, '

Jeremiah 34:15

'For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. '

Romans 8:20-21

'Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. '

2 Corinthians 3:17

We praise the LORD in every circumstance and give thanks to Him for His mercies and lovingkindness. We have a small group of men here in Dewetsdorp praying every week. It is awesome to see the men touched by the LORD and prayers answered powerfully. We have been praying for our Father to show us where ministry is desperately needed and we have a man that is addicted to meth or “Tik” as it is call by it’s streetname. He wants to be set free from this destructive addiction and for that he needs to be booked in at a local rehab of a brother in the LORD. If you feel led to support with his monthly stay over the next 6 months you can use the #SetFree when you send funds.

My wife gets women to pray together weekly. They crochet and knit different things that people can use or wear. We give it away on the outreaches. The women who attended were deeply touched and found it edifying. We thank the LORD for the facecloths, wool, and bars of soap provided. There are opportunities to minister at the local old-age home and police station. Many elderly people never get a visit from their families. We got a contact at the local police station so we reached out to rape victims by giving them a facecloth and a bar of soap as a comfort gift. See picture below of one of the blankets that they have made:

“They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.”

Galatians 2:10

Ministering to the poor:

We have also been ministering to some poor families here in Dewetsdorp since May 2024, helping with food, clothing, household cleaning products, and toiletries as the LORD provides. This opens a door for us to do counselling and pray with them. Thank you to all who gave to make this ministry possible in Jesus Name. There were also opportunities at our church where we would hand out monthly food parcels, and we could then share the gospel with these families. We call this the “5 Loaves and 2 Fish Project,” and we trust our Father for multiplication.

Taking hands with one of our sisters in the local church to minister every week to the poor people in the streets of Dewetsdorp and giving them a meal. I can then share the Gospel and pray for those who need prayer.

We continued with the ministry at the school; we have Praise and worship and Bible study on Sunday mornings. The new converts each receive a new Bible. We handed out new Bibles and prayed over each of them for a hunger and a thirst for the Word of God. I also had the privilege to work among the learners at the hostel, where I could minister to some of these boys and girls who needed deliverance and healing in Jesus Name. We also need new Bibles, so if the Lord puts it on your heart to give, so we can hand out these new Bibles, please contact me. HalleluYah!!! Here are pictures of some of the new Bibles we handed out:

Please continue to pray with us for His future provision and also for the 4 schools in our area.

We celebrated 8 birthdays this month, and we could pray for them and bless them while trusting our Father to bring them to a place where they can walk in the fullness of His purpose for their lives in His holy Name.

Please continue to pray for us:

For my wife’s health. We trust the LORD for her complete healing. She saw the doctor at the state hospital on 10th April 2025. The doctor tested the mark on her skin, and the tests confirmed no cancer. Praise the LORD. Her followup appointment is sceduled for the 20th June 2025

We praise the LORD for His faithfulness. We managed to service our vehicle in March, and we trust the LORD for a reliable 7-seater 4X4 SUV for the family since the kids are growing and the 6 of us no longer fit in a 5-seater.

We were invited to minister in Lesotho. Please pray for us to be able to renew 4 passports in our family so we can go!!

All the counselling sessions that are scheduled for the coming month.

All the Bible study, ministering and Church services scheduled for the coming month.

All the teachings that will be going out on online social media platforms.

Thank you for all your continued prayers and support with a word of encouragement or financially so that we can continue the work of the Kingdom and for the provision of everything in our daily lives.
